Day 1: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada - Tour Begins
Majestic and sublime, the Canadian province of Alberta is a land of scenic delights. With accommodations as spectacular as the mountains themselves, get set to be pampered in the heart of the Rockies. Your tour begins with an overnight in Edmonton, the capital of Alberta.

Day 2: Edmonton - Jasper
Sit back and relax this morning as you travel by train aboard VIA Rail Canada's Snow Train Express from Edmonton to Jasper and experience a winter wonderland! Every turn of the tracks uncovers nature's beauty with prairies giving way to the mighty Canadian Rockies, undeniably one of the most extravagantly beautiful ranges on Earth. Arriving in Jasper, the festivities begin with a welcome dinner at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. This evening, talk with a local expert about the region’s wildlife. Follow this with a game meat dinner* - try elk, caribou or bison.

Day 3: Jasper - Icefields Parkway - Lake Louise
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Jasper. You may choose to go ice skating on Lac Beauvert at the hotel or try an icewalk through Maligne Canyon. Leave Jasper behind and head for Lake Louise. Follow the famed Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most scenic routes. Connecting Banff and Jasper national parks, the well-named highway passes within viewing distance of many glaciers. A leisurely trip allows you to absorb the magnificent scenery. Your drive ends at The Fairmont Château Lake Louise, an incomparable hotel modeled after a Victorian lodge. Enjoy a cooking demonstration featuring one of The Fairmont Château Lake Louise’s specialties – Fondue! Learn this culinary art from a top chef and then enjoy the popular dish** for dinner. Finally, retire to your lake-view room.

Day 4: Lake Louise
Set out on a sleigh ride around Lake Louise! Enjoy Alberta’s scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife tracks as you are whisked along. Later, savor a kitchen tour. The Fairmont is known for its elegant dining experiences and it all starts in the kitchen. Be one of the few to go behind-the-scenes. Next, enjoy a historic tour of the hotel and learn about the original buildings from long ago. This evening, discover local ice wine and fine dessert wine. Enjoy a sweet treat.

Day 5: Lake Louise - Banff
Today, travel along the Bow River to the world-renowned resort town of Banff. Upon arrival, visit a local ammonite specialist to learn about this rare gem found only in southern Alberta. Afterwards, browse the many shops in the village. Later, arrive at the "Castle in the Mountains," The Fairmont Banff Springs, your home for the next two evenings. Settle in and enjoy a historic tour of the property, originally built in 1888 as a railway hotel for adventurous travelers crossing the Rockies. Learn about the famous people and events linked to this grand icon. Later, retire to your room and its breathtaking valley view.

Day 6: Banff
This morning, enjoy some leisure time in Banff. Explore the heritage buildings, shop for unique gifts or visit local museums. Of course, you never have to leave your hotel. You may choose to enjoy an affable scavenger hunt to find all of the unique things the hotel offers. Later, learn about the cherished sport of curling. Pick up a few tips from an expert curler and maybe engage in a friendly competition. Next, warm up by the fire as you sip hot cocoa, roast marshmallows and listen to some of the ghost stories that still swirl around The Fairmont. Tonight, sample Alberta beef among other regional favorites during an Albertan dinner.

Day 7: Banff - Calgary - Tour Ends
Travel to Calgary and head for home with many wonderful memories of your Canadian Rockies winter vacation.
